Less-worse Android emulators for PC

Stop using BlueStacks, Nox Player, LDPlayer and similar software. They're spyware. And they suck, you know that. Pre-installed adware, tracking on the background, a nightmare of ads, you get it.

Sadly there are not many good options, but a few exist. This page orders my personal list of preferences by supported operating systems.

Windows

Google Play Games

Google noticed a good market available at PC gamers, and they didn't think twice. Unfortunately it's limited for a select list of games. It's requirements are quite high, but is justifiable since it's a virtual machine.

You may ask me why Google software is listed here, since this company loves to track the entire internet. However, I don't see much opportunity tracking only users' Clash Royale ranks. Between Google Play Games and the rest of spyware emulators, I prefer Mountain View.

Windows Subsystem for Android (aka. WSA)

You probably know it, since it's a new feature from Windows 11. And honestly, given the amount of shit Micro$oft produces regularly, it's really good. Not perfect, but very good. Its requirements are the same as Google Play Games. It's not available officially for Windows 10, but the community already ported it.

Despite its good appearance, it's still Microsoft software. Use cautiously.

Linux

Waydroid

The best of the three. It's free open source software, near native performance, and is able to integrate seamlessly with the system. Requires Wayland, and as such not all distros are compatible.
